FOOOOOOOOOOOTBALL!

This weekend was Iowa’s homecoming, and my mom usually marches with the alumni band that always performs. This year it wasn’t in the budget, but we still went to the parade and hung out with all her friends. I think this is seriously my favorite time of year! I don’t know, it may be the cool days where you can wear sweat shirts and jeans with moccasins (my favorite things to wear!) I also just LOVE Iowa City (maybe it’s the atmosphere, or the beautiful campus? I don’t know I just love it!) Anyway, my mom, my sister, Crystal*, Jeremy, and me went down there after school on Friday. I’m not a band geek or anything (unlike my parents and sister…I’m more of a singer/dancer person myself, but my mom and sister dance also) but I love listening to the marching band. I think it’s something in my veins maybe? (Sound cliché enough for you?) But I really love the feeling the fight song gives me, like “Yeah football!!!”

Speaking of football, I’ve been having my dad and Jeremy explain it for me the past couple years. It’s really not as complicated as I thought it was. Like I can ligitamently say “What was up with our quarterback throwing the ball twenty yards behind him yesterday?” (I feel so smart saying that!)

No offense to my school or anything, (I love the school and my friends, the teachers are awesome…especially my English teacher…nudge nudge) but I CANNOT wait to get out of here and go to Iowa. I already know what I want to do and how I’m going to do it (maybe I’ll leave that for another blog…) But I know not much, except the class I’m doing THIS for, and my science classes are doing me much good…Anyway, I can’t wait to go to the Hawkeye games every weekend instead of just once a year! Ah…but the two years I have left…
